Currently in an advanced development phase by Sevenbit, one of the incubated company, NaroCAD is an open source application aiming to offer easy access to computer aided design capabilities to SMEs specialists interested in 3D modelling and CNC preparation processes.
In order to benefit of direct inputs on the planned NaroCAD features and to identify potential educational usage for their application, Mihai Zamă-Neagră and Cristian Ianto the co-founders of Sevenbit started in this period their contacts with members of the teaching and research staff of the Timişoara "Politehnica" University's Mechanical Department, coordinated by professor Adrian But, the coordinator of the local Haas Technical Education Center. HTEC is a global network and partnership between learning institutions, Haas Automation, and Haas Factory Outlets, ensuring that qualified learning institutes receive support to provide the highest quality CNC education.
This relationship facilitation is part of a long term effort performed by Timişoara Software Business Incubator in order to connect the client companies to existing local specific expertize and potential partners or beneficiaries.
