Did you ever wonder what Technology, Art and Community do hold together? We did and we hope to find out some interesting answers June 17th, 14.00, during a very informal meeting that brings together for a few hours people from different fields and yet having at least one thing in common: the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as part of their job or personal life.
The goal of this meeting is to explore the ways Timisoara, could build on the use of ICT in three apparently distant fields: citizen involvement, digital art groups and e-inclusion for young people at risk of social exclusion.
One of the guests of this meeting is Rob van Kranenburg, Lead Partner Manager for the ShareIt Project. He will initiate a discussion starting from the following thoughts:
„It is inevitable that vertical institutions all across the world will break under the weight of the internet based decision possibilities of ever growing groups of people organizing themselves on all kinds of specific topics. What will society 3.0 look like? Garbage 3.0, democracy 3.0? Might it be organized around networked neighborhoods that are connected through networked ('smart') objects? Is Central Europe not the right place to leapfrog to a new situation when we see the current crisis in the West in terms of loss of faith in banks, politicians and systems of faith and control based on uncontrollable assumptions? What kind of new conversations, relations and business is in a situation where data is open to sme and ready for new services?”
The event's working language will be English and it will be hosted by Incubator's training room.
