The Monday, January 10th Timisoara Mobile Development Group Meetup brought together an awesome crowd of about 60 people interested in this very dynamic field. Additional to the initially announced two technical presentations by Valentin Muresan of Movidius and Andrei Rusan of Alcatel-Lucent Timisoara, three locally developed mobile applications were presented and discussed by the participants:
- Hawkeye, by Xenom (Oana Fanaru & Arthur Csertus), for Windows Mobile 7
- Memory Flip, by Bittersweet Labs (Melania Danciu & Raul Andrișan), for iPhone
- grokking.it, by Grok Media Pte (Tudor Munteanu, Calvin Cheng, Stefan Talpalariu), for iPhone
Following the event we have good perspectives for the next editions: a numerous and interested community, a well garnished pool of applications waiting in the road to be presented, a declared intention of continuous involvement from local companies that are operating in the field, and a great media partner, Mobilissimo.ro, one of the best Romanian blogs specialized in mobile technologies that reflected the event in the following video.
