Thursday, February 10th, 9:00 AM, ARIES-TM, DEAK Szeged and Timişoara Software Business Incubator as associated organization, will host the launching conference of the Cluster 2 Success project.
The event will bring together Romanian and Hungarian representatives of the companies from the IT&C industry, academia, public authorities, local and regional economic development agencies and also suppliers and service providers for the IT&C sector.
The conference will bring in the attention of the participants a list of interesting topics:
- the industrial cluster concept as an instrument to boost regional sectoral competitiveness,
- the successful implementations of the concept in Szeged and elsewhere
- national and local Romanian and Hungarian public policies related to cluster development
- research results on the needs and clustering interest and disponibility of the Timișoara and Arad entities from the IT&C ecosystem
- the role of the market oriented joint university-company research and development for the cluster development
An important segment within the event's program will be a workshop where the participants will be encouraged to contribute to the drafting of the main features (structure, functionalities, relationships, service portfolio) of the cluster.
On the list of guests speakers to the event an interesting presence is that of Radu Georgescu, CEO of GECAD Group, one of the most successful Romanian IT&C entrepreneurs, a "connaisseur" of the Silicon Valley clustered evolution and promoter of a radical and pragmatic renewal of the Romanian IT&C industry (some of Radu's thoughts on these issues can be found here, in Romanian language).
