Tuesday, February 8th, starting at 6.00 PM, we are inviting all those interested from the Timisoara startup scene, IT&C companies, employees and freelancers contemplating the idea of founding a business in the high-tech field to meet Jon Bradford and the local investors, pitching and incubated companies representatives for an informal event in 700 Coffee & Launge. The program of the evening will include a presentation on Springboard business accelerator in the context of Cambridge and London wider startup scene, a presentation on a couple of Incubator's future projects with connection to UK, followed by informal discussions and socializing. You have an idea and you have a team eager to build out of it a successful business in a high-tech branch, mainly web but hardware-based also possible.
You can build it as your secret side project during the next years. That's OK, but maybe you want to enter in a turbocharged startup acceleration program to validate your idea and make it "investment ready" before the middle of this year.
It's true, the second path is not possible here in Timisoara, yet. The good news is that we've been successful in convincing Jon Bradford, co-founder of Springboard, the next business accelerator to start to operate in Europe, more specific in Cambridge, UK, to come to Timisoara and to meet you, the startup people planning the next "big thing", to listen to you pitching our idea and offer you insights and inspiration to apply to be one of the ten inaugural Springboard teams.
If you can prepare a 7 minutes pitch describing your idea, advisably supported by a ppt or prezi, and if you are willing to meet Jon and a couple of local investors also looking for projects to invest in, please join us.
The event will consist of a pitching session in the presence of all the registered team, each pitch being followed by some public feedback and in the end 1-to-1 feedback meetings with Jon and the local potential investors.
